Version terms-v1

Terms of Service

Effective . These terms apply when a parent creates or uses a PrepPilot family account and when a child uses that family workspace.

1. Parent or guardian account

A parent account holder must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a binding agreement, and the parent or lawful guardian responsible for every child profile the holder creates or manages.

You are responsible for accurate family information, supervising each child’s use, keeping parent and child credentials secure and separate, and obtaining the permissions needed for the child to use PrepPilot. A child cannot create a paid order or manage the family account.

2. What PrepPilot provides

PrepPilot provides independent exam-practice material, assignment and attempt workflows, evaluation support, retained results, and package-dependent feedback or progress tools. Available boards, classes, subjects, chapters, question types and capabilities are the ones shown in the product for the selected child.

Some written-answer feedback may be produced with artificial intelligence and checked against a configured rubric. AI-assisted feedback may be incomplete or mistaken. Parents and children should treat it as practice evidence and use the available review or support process when something appears wrong.

3. Educational limits

PrepPilot is not a school, examination board, official examination, official grade, diagnosis, or substitute for a teacher or other qualified professional.

PrepPilot does not guarantee marks, ranks, admission, mastery, or future performance. References to boards, publishers, books, examinations or competitions identify learning context and do not imply endorsement.

4. Acceptable use

You must not access another family or child; seek protected answer keys, evaluator-only cues, credentials or administrative records; bypass package, child-scope, attempt, reveal or allowance controls; interfere with service security or payment evidence; or submit unlawful, abusive, malicious or rights-infringing material.

You may use the family’s assigned material and expressly provided exports for personal, non-commercial educational use. You must not sell, publish, scrape, systematically extract or use PrepPilot content to build a competing dataset or service except where applicable law permits it.

5. Accounts, access and service changes

Use an email address you can verify and recover. PrepPilot may require proportionate identity or recent-verification checks for sensitive actions. We will never ask for your password, a child PIN, one-time password, card PIN, UPI PIN, CVV or bank password over support email.

PrepPilot may correct content, scoring or feedback and preserve a versioned record of the correction. We may temporarily restrict an account or feature to protect children, families, security, legal rights, payment evidence or service integrity. Where reasonable, we will explain the restriction and provide a review route.

6. Paid access when offered

During a complimentary pilot, access may be provided without payment. If PrepPilot offers a paid package, the checkout will show the exact package, selected children, term, allowance, discount, applicable tax, total, renewal behavior and refund terms before payment.

The initial paid packages are intended as one-time academic-term purchases, not automatic subscriptions or mandates. A browser success screen is provisional: paid access activates only after PrepPilot verifies the captured payment against the server-created order.

7. Content and submitted answers

PrepPilot and its licensors retain their rights in the service, software, original content, presentation and protected evaluation material. Your family retains its rights in original answers submitted by a child.

You permit PrepPilot to process those answers only as described in the applicable privacy notice and as needed to provide, secure and review the service. Account expiry, a refund or a dispute does not silently erase submitted work, released results, receipts or immutable financial evidence.

8. Availability and responsibility

PrepPilot aims to keep the service available but cannot promise uninterrupted internet, hosting, payment-network or AI-provider availability. This does not remove any remedy that applicable consumer law requires for a materially deficient or undelivered service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that rule, PrepPilot is not responsible for an indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the service was used or purchased.

9. Privacy and child safety

PrepPilot processes parent and child information to provide and protect a family workspace. Payment, learning, support and audit records may have different retention periods. The applicable privacy notice explains the data, purposes, providers, controls and request process in more detail.

Parents should avoid placing unnecessary personal, medical or other sensitive information in a child answer or support message.

10. Changes to these terms

PrepPilot may update these terms for law, child safety, security, service changes or to correct an error. A completed paid purchase remains bound to the versioned package and policy terms accepted for that purchase unless applicable law requires a change.

If a material change affects an existing account, PrepPilot will provide reasonable notice through the parent account or verified email and will request fresh acceptance when the change requires it.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any consumer commission, payment dispute process, forum or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, any legal proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms or PrepPilot must be filed only in a court of competent jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

For questions, account support or a complaint, email support@preppilot.study from the parent account email. Do not include passwords, PINs, one-time passwords or full payment credentials.
